30 Day Photo Challenge - Failed!

I know I promised I will try my best to finish the 30 Day Photo Challenge. Turns out that I promised a lot. I cannot finish the challenge :(

I've been busy and I really don't have the extra time to keep up with the "demands" of the challenge. I really wanted to finish it but I'm way behind it already.

30 Day Photo Challenge - Day 17

Day 17 - A picture of something that has made a huge impact on your life recently

OK, I really don't want to post my passport here but that would be the photo suitable for today's challenge. So, I just removed the important details of my passport and I hope I won't get in jail for doing this, haha!

When I first saw my passport, I initially said "Cool, I have a new name!" But as time passes by, the idea having a new name and of course the fact that I got the new name because I got married, was slowly sinking in.

I will now forever forget the fact that I will be called Ms. Tutaan and I will now be called Mrs. Valentin. I will be grouped as "married" when we attend weddings because I will not be part of the girls waiting for the bouquet to be thrown. I will be CHANGING my signature to reflect my new last name and I will make sure that I will not forget to use the new signature.

Whew! A lot of things changed when I got my new passport. That's why I am posting "part of it" here in my blog.

This challenge was originally written as "someone who inspires you". I changed it to "people who inspire you" just to make it more suitable to me.

My mom and dad are the people who inspire me a lot. They raised me, Ate Bern and LA very well. They taught us well and they made sure to instill in our minds the value of love and trust and faith in God.

My mom and dad, as well as my sister and brother, are the ones who make me feel secure. They were all there for me at times when I am sad and times that I am happy.

I'd love to travel around the world with Doms and our kids! I'd like traveling to be our family hobby. I'd like to visit Europe, USA and other countries with them.

I believe we can do this as long as we save and take things slowly starting now.

No other explanation needed. Doms is my husband and I married him just to be with him and grow old with him and build and family with him. Of course, he is the person I cannot live without.

Day 13 - A Picture of Your Favorite Band or Artist

I have at least 50 favorite artist in my list but the only artist that I want to post here is the band Sugarfree. I love this band! I can't explain why but all their music is straight to the point and their lyrics are all well written.

I am really sad that they are disbanding already. Thanks Sugarfree!

I recently bought these lip care products from Sephora. Ate Bern was the one who initially recommended Burt's Bees. I love these products because they help me have a soft and subtle lips. I am not a lipstick person that's why I bought the colored lip balm as well.

Day 11 - A Picture of something You Hate

I generally hate a lot of things. There are times when I see something and then without any reason, I will hate it! But there is one thing that really makes me mad. Mad to the point that I shout at people around me when this happens. That is being stuck in TRAFFIC!

I hate being stuck in TRAFFIC! Specially here in Singapore. Bus drivers are so courteous to the point even if they go and drive fast, they still follow speed rules. Well, I know I'm being unreasonable here. road signs should really be followed. But I don't know. I just hate it when I see a bunch of cars piling up. This hinders my time of going home that's why.

Again, like what I said earlier, I really want to avoid adding pictures of my family here but, I can't help it! LA is the first person I thought of when I read the challenge.

I can say that LA is my partner in crime. I remember my first Christmas here in Singapore. I think that was December 2008. He flew in here to spend Christmas with me since I am alone. Our Noche Buena consisted of McDonald's Big Mac meal. It's not much but we totally enjoyed it.

LA and I have a lot of misadventures but we enjoy every bit of it.

Day 9 - A picture of the person who has gotten you through the most

Of course, Doms, my husband has been the only person who has gotten me through the most. He was and he will always be there for me no matter what. But, I don't want to fill this blog with all of Doms' photos.

So, for this challenge, I will be posting my picture with my friends. I will refrain from posting pictures of my and Doms or me and my family because it is well understood that those people are always there.

For Day 9's challenge, here is a picture of the first person I thought of...

Anj is my high school friend and seatmate. We used to talk a  lot on the phone before when we were still in college. I remember we used to talk about our school problems and of course, BOYS! Remember Orange and Ponkan?!?!?!

She was also the first person that I ran to when my heart got broken. She was there to listen.

Now that we are both happy with the love of our lives, I am really thankful that until now, Anj and I still communicate with each other.

Day 8 - A Picture that Makes you Laugh

 

OK, this happened just over the weekend. Doms and I wanted to see how the Sentosa Boardwalk looks like so we decided to go there after hearing mass.

The sun was scorching hot so we did not reach the end of the boardwalk. Halfway through, I asked Doms to pose in this area, and he did!

This picture made me laugh because Doms pose exactly looked like his baby picture in my post here. So funny!

Day 7 - A Picture of Your Most Treasured Item

Wahaha, of course my most treasured item  will be my wedding ring. My wedding ring symbolizes my commitment and love for my husband. I always make sure that I am wearing my wedding when I am going out.

 I am really proud of our rings. Even if it's not as expensive as some other couple's rings, these rings are what we wanted.

Day 6 -  A picture of a person you'd love to trade places with for a day

It really made me think about today's photo challenge. I cannot think of one actual person or character that I want trade places with. I don't know why I'm having trouble about this challenge. Maybe because I know that even if I trade places with someone, I will get their problems also. Or maybe because trading places with them is impossible. I really don't know.

But if I will be given a chance to trade places with a person, I'd still choose myself, a younger version of myself, that is.

This was taken during my college graduation. I loved this time of my life! I love college and I want to repeat it over and over again!

Day 2 - A picture of you and the person you have been closest with the longest

Of course, this challenge is obviously for my sister. She's my sister so she has to be the longest closest person I know.

Ate Bern is now based in Ireland. She's working there as a nurse. Even if she's far away, we always talk if we have time using Skype and chat using YM. She knows some of the things about me that my parents doesn't know (hmmmm). It will be her birthday on the 21st so this post is also my advanced HAPPY BIRTHDAY gift for her.

OK, I know at first I hated the people that I see in FB doing this 365-Day Photo Challenge or 30-Day Photo Challenge or whatever you call it. I actually don't hate the idea but I hate the channel that they used to do it.

Why would you want to use FB for this challenge? almost everyone you know is in FB and you want them to see what your photos are with explanation? I really feel that in these type of challenges, a personal blog is the best place to put it. At least, not everyone can see your answers.

So, I'm starting it now here on my blog!

2. I read all the 7 Harry Potter books and all the 3 Lord of the Rings books.
3. I'm a sucker for artist.
4. The common facial feature that my past boyfriends and my husband have are they all have nice noses.
5. I envy people who talks confidently in front of a large crowd.
6. I hate kids who are not cute.
7. Half of our wedding misal were printed using our office printer and paper.
8. I always cry when I dream about wars and gun fighting.
9. I seldom wear high-heeled shoes.
